Bearings have strict requirements for manufacturing accuracy and a high degree of technical specialization. Therefore, for most bearings that are easy to buy, it should be more cost-effective to buy than repair. Bearing repair should be considered only in the following cases .

(1) The failure mode of the bearings used in the ball mill is mainly the wear of the rolling surface, fatigue or fretting abrasion, especially the damaged parts are mostly cages or rolling elements, and the ferrules or washers still have repair value; (2) The bearing is on the verge of failure, or although it has failed but the parts have no major damage, or the precious bearing must try to extend its useful life; (3) The bearing has slight damage, such as slight water rust during the inventory period, and slight damage caused by the transportation process. Fretting abrasion, this kind of situation is easy to repair and it is a pity that it is discarded.

Bearing repair must not only consider its economic benefits, but also consider technical factors. The repairer fully understands the corresponding technical requirements of the bearing, and the characteristics of the structure, process and material of the bearing and its parts. Otherwise, it is difficult to ensure that the bearing repair has a satisfactory effect.

In addition, in daily production, pay attention to monitoring the operation of the bearing, and repairing the bearing before it fails in a planned way can get twice the result with half the effort. At the same time, following a reasonable process, using efficient repair equipment and tools, and obtaining the help of a professional bearing factory, all help to improve the economic benefits of the enterprise.
